SSAA COACH PITCH WORLD SERIES 2009 RULES AND INFO.

AGE DIVISIONS: 6u& 8u Age cutoff date is Dec. 31st. Player may play in older division, but not at a younger level. Players may play in only one age division and one bracket (boys-girls-coed).
FORMAT: 4 game guarantee. There will be two game pool play then a double elimination bracket
Bracket play will be divided Select teams will be seperated from Rec teams.
SELECT or "A": Players from different locations, play as select during season in weekend tournaments.
REC or "B": ALL players from same recreation league, core of team has played together on the same league team.
(tournament officials will place teams in brackets after pool play using the above guidelines and observation during pool games.)
TIME LIMIT: One hour time limit, no inninng may begin after 1hr.
ENTRY FEE: $125.00 per team, entry deadline will be July 15th.
HELMET RULE: All batters and base runners will wear approved helmets with chin straps and face guards in live ball area. Catchers will wear helmet and mask.
COURTESY RUNNER: One per inning, runner may be any roster player in line-up or not. If line-up player is used they will be scored as an out if caught on base when their turn at bat occurs
BALLS: Furnished by tournament: .47cor/375 compression 11in optic yellow.
BATS: The NSA list of bats will be used for this tournament. Bats not allowed may be found at: http://www.playnsa.com
PITCHING DISTANCE: 6u 8u (Coach Pitch) A 16 foot circle is drawn 35ft. from home. Coaches will pitch from the front of the circle in line with home plate. (no pitching rubber will be in place)
SANCTION: SSAA fee $12.00 per team
ROSTER: each team will submit completed SSAA roster before play
BIRTH CERTIFICATE: players need to have proof of age in the form of birth certificate.
PROTEST FEE: $100.00 per protest, fee returned if protest upheld.
AWARDS:1st, 2nd, 3rd. place trophies each division winner. individual awards will be given to each team member.
SPORTSMANSHIP: Award will be given to teams displaying the best example of good sportsmanship. Taunting and teasing of players, umps, and other teams fans will be dealt with quickly and severly. There is no place for taunting in our sport Coaches control your players...Players control your COACHES!
COACHES MEETING: FridayJuly 24th. Tournament details will be discussed. Please try to have a representative of your team at the meeting.
OPENING CEREMONIES: Each team is requested to be present Friday for opening ceremonies
ATMOSPHERE: effort is being made to provide each participant with a World Series experience they will enjoy. Photographers will be present to sell memory pictures made at the tournament. Souvenir tee shirts are being designed and printed, and will be available along with souvenir caps. Opening ceremonies will allow each team to be recognized, we want everybody to enjoy their visit here
